Kotobukizuru

Kotobukizuru, the Congratulations Crane. This is a gorgeous variation of the classic origami crane loved the world over. Andrew Hudson thought he had created a new variation on the crane, but was informed that it was in fact an obscure traditional model! Not sure about that because it has both a layer wrap and an open sink...either way, this is a lovely model and is indeed very cheery, perfect for a congratulation!  Folding this from a yellow/orange paper makes it look fiery, giving it an almost phoenix look.
